Safety
To ensure the highest level of success and fun in your Regatta® experience, make safety your top priority. Even though Regatta® sailboats do not require carving or use of power tools, there are some safety concerns:
- Rubber bands can cause eye injuries; consider eye protection
- Monitor Cub Scouts’ use of tools; allow only adults to use power tools
- Work in a well-lighted and well-ventilated area
- Consider wearing gloves when using sharp tools
- Follow all safety rules and precautions listed on the tools and products you use
- Keep your work area clean and organized
